First off i know I’m a horrible writer, secondly, my personal focus is on educating myself and to continuously learn more. If you won’t read this I ask that you do your best to do the same and remember to continue your conversations offline and truly understand what it is to live the black lives matter movement. A Personal Note I’ve been MIA from social media for a good minute. And being back on it, to be able to see the movement and awareness spreading, brings both a positive and frustrating feeling. The message and pain that has been felt by the black community is finally getting some time of day in the general media. It’s extremely painful that the opportunity has only been presented while we grieve more loss of the black community. But to be overlooked, and gaslighted about the pain and situations you have experienced and expected to be strong and move on simply based on the colour of your skin tone is what a lot of the black community is experiencing in their daily lives. So I commend everyone that has been reposting stories because that is what is allowing society to give the black community the ability to share the message that they’ve been saying forever. Racism isn’t getting worse we’re just finally able to apply pressure to the system with the power of people and social media. I know that there’s a lot of pain and frustration right now. Whether these feelings are new to you or you’re tired of screaming the same message without being heard, this is the time we can continue to move in unison and use the media spotlight to take the next steps. We need to take action together. I don’t know what the solution is and i’m not sure of what would lead to the most impact. But thru personal experience, I've seen the effect that action from people of privilege can have. I believe that if each and every one of us does our best with that in mind Our society could be capable of changing the system. I'm opening up this thread and want you to point out to me if there are things I'm saying is wrong because its the only way that we can keep a conversation going. but that being said a few things that I think could help us are:
